Congratulations to the 2024 Summer Journalism Intensive cohort! Over the course of four weeks, they learned from broadcast professionals how to report for print, audio and video. They sat in on an editorial meeting at Sahan Journal, met with the president of the Twin Cities chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists, and interviewed Pulitzer-prize-winning investigative journalist Wesley Lowery.  Their radio stories aired on POWER104.7FM and WFNU and, thanks to Ramsey County Workforce Solutions, they are leaving this experience with their own professional recording equipment. Thanks to our partner newsrooms, these young people went on to participate in paid work experiences at the Star Tribune, Pioneer Press, and Minnesota Spokesman Recorder. We can't wait to see what they do next!
